The Use of Taxis by the DCMS - Case 105453

Question: Request information about the total cost of taxis used by DCMS staff over 2006/07 and 2007/08. Case Number 105453

All official travel is undertaken in accordance with rules set out in the Department's Staff Guide under Travel and Subsistence and consistent with Civil Service Management Code. For the financial year 2006-07 £33,907.44 is the recorded spend on taxi fares. It represents expenditure on taxis provided by the Department's contract agent, black cabs and taxis in London and elsewhere. The expenditure on taxis by the Department in financial year 2007-08 was £36,359.08. The figure represents expenditure on taxis provided by the Department's contracted agent, black cabs and other taxis in London and elsewhere.
