John Hayes

Skills Minister John Hayes answered your skills and careers questions via Twitter on Thursday morning. Tweet further questions using #askhayes.

Skills Minister John Hayes answered your questions on the launch of the new National Careers Service on Twitter from 10.30am on Thursday 5 April 2012.

Although the live Twitter session has finished, you can still tweet your questions to the Bisgovuk twitter account @bisgovuk. Include #askhayes hashtag in your question tweet.

You might want to ask John Hayes:

  • What can the National Careers Service offer me?
  • I want to get back into work after a break - who can I speak to?
  • I want to change careers - what should I do?
  • My daughter/son is out of work - what can I do?

The National Careers Service launches in April and is a new careers service that will provide access to independent, professional guidance on careers, skills and the labour market.

The service will be free and available online or over the telephone for everyone aged 13 and over in England. Adults will also be able to speak to an adviser face-to-face in their local community.
