World Class Coalition

The World Class Coalition (WCC) brings together national regulators, policy departments, professional and representative bodies.

The WCC has the primary aim of simplifying the complex system of competing policy priorities and guidance emanating from the centre to the local.

With its support BRDO is rolling out a Common Competency Framework, and has delivered an Impact and Outcome Toolkit for local authorities and Common Excellence Framework.

The WCC provides:

  • An opportunity for sharing national-level views and approaches in relation to local authority enforcement.
  • A forum to shape BRDO’s regulatory simplification projects: in relation to competency, risk assessment, data transparency and priorities.
  • A forum to discuss national regulator involvement in Primary Authority.

The Local Authority Regulatory Services Reference Panel runs in parallel to the WCC.
