The Government proposed a number of reforms to the institutional arrangements to ensure that the provision of consumer information, advice, education, representation and enforcement was delivered effectively and efficiently. The reforms were aimed at:
There were 184 formal responses to the consultation. The Government’s response issued by the Minister for Consumer Affairs describes the reforms that will be implemented to meet these objectives.
