
The sixth Annual Progress Report on the UK's programmes to address the Nuclear, Biological and Chemical Legacies in the countries of the Former Soviet Union (FSU), Countries was published on February 12th 2009. A Russian translation of this report will be published in due course.
This newly published Annual Report and all previous Annual Reports dating from 2003 are currently available from BERR's Reports and Publications website either in PDF or Hardcopy versions.
The Global Threat Reduction Programme is aimed at the non-proliferation of weapons or materials of mass destruction through the establishment of cooperative threat reduction projects with key partner nations. In order to enable the UK to work effectively with other countries to address these important challenges, in 2000 the UK Government established new programmes to deal with the nuclear, chemical and biological legacies in the FSU.
