Advantage West Midlands is responsible for the overall management of the socio-economic elements of the Rural Development Programme . LEADER is the chosen approach to deliver the social and community measures of RDPE and enables a ‘bottom-up’ community involvement approach to rural development.
To help with the delivery a competitive process took place which resulted in eight sub regional rural partnerships, known as Local Action Groups (LAGs) selected to deliver social and community benefits using a total of £10.22m of RDPE funding via the LEADER approach.
Advantage West Midlands are working with RegenWM to provide a learning and development programme to support these LAGs. More information on this work can be found here (Opens in new window).
