i54 is a 226 acre / 91 hectare (approximately) strategic development site for employment uses located in the centre of the UK, approximately 3 miles north of Wolverhampton City Centre and 17 miles north west of Birmingham. The adjacent comprehensive motorway network system provides ready access to major cities, airports and ports across the country.

Advantage West Midlands (AWM) and Wolverhampton City Council (WCC), as joint venture partners are developing the site to create approximately 6,000 jobs.  The proposed development comprises offices, workspace, industrial units, education and research, hotel, ancillary services, open space, associated highways, footpaths and landscaping.

The total amount of floor space proposed is 2,500,000 ft2 / 235,000 m2.

Status: Outline planning permission secured for 235,000 sq m of office/industrial accommodation. Remediation and on site infrastructure works have been completed and the Agency are working with the Highways Agency to deliver a direct access to the site via junction 2 of the M54 motorway. The Agency are currently in the process of selecting a development partner. The current planning permission provides for the immediate development of up to 15,000 sq m of floor space which will accessed from Wobaston Road. Larger requirements may also be accommodated at this stage subject to the requisite planning permission.
