	The latest national statistics on Energy Trends and Energy Prices produced by the Department of Energy and Climate Change were released on 26th March 2009 according to the arrangements approved by the UK Statistics Authority. A statistical press release summarising the key points from the latest release is available at: http://stats.berr.gov.uk/energystats/pn/QPN-Mar-2009.pdf
	This release includes statistics on quarterly production and consumption of coal, electricity, gas, oil and total energy include data for the UK for the fourth quarter of 2008. Statistics on quarterly energy prices are also included. The latest release updates the statistics previously released on 23rd December 2008.
