| The latest national statistics on Energy Trends and
Energy Prices produced by the Department of Energy and Climate Change
were released on 23rd December 2008 according to the arrangements
approved by the UK Statistics Authority. |

| This release includes statistics on quarterly production
and consumption of coal, electricity, gas, oil and total energy include
data for the UK for the third quarter of 2008. Statistics on quarterly
energy prices are also included. The latest release updates the
statistics previously released on 25th September 2008. |
