Captain Trevor Gulley joined the Royal Navy in 1982 after completing a Naval Architect Technician Apprenticeship at Devonport Royal Dockyard.

Following initial specialist training as a Marine Engineer, he served as the Deputy Marine Engineer Officer in HM Ship’s Glasgow and Sheffield.
