A fully searchable database of over 100,000 names and addresses of UK importers who import from outside the EU. You can search by commodity, UK county or postcode and this information can then be used effectively to find customers and suppliers.

HMRC have developed a web based alerts service in conjunction with the Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA). The purpose of this system is to push multi-departmental messages in the form of a short email and a web link, to UK importers and exporters, improving Government-wide customer service.

The service is run through uktradeinfo. It is free and is available to anyone involved in importing goods into, or exporting goods from the UK.

Regional trade statistics

Regional trade statistics were introduced in 1999 to support the economic decision-making of the devolved Scottish Parliament, Assemblies and regional bodies within the UK. These statistics provide a useful breakdown of the flows of imports and exports between regions of the UK and other countries.
