Oxford University Officers' Training Corps

How to join

We recruit around 120 new members every October. As a general rule, our recruits are first year undergraduates - you need at least 2 years to complete our standard leadership development training. There are three stages to joining the OTC (it is worth it!)

  • First, attend your University Freshers' Fair or if this isn't possible then email us to register your interest.
  • Second, once you have registered your interest in joining, either by attending one of the Freshers Fairs or by emailing us, attend the Open Evening on Tuesday 14th October 2008. You can bring with you the Standard Introduction Form - but you can get one on the night as well
  • Third, attend the Selection Weekend at Bicester on 24 - 26 October 2008. This is an opportunity for us to assess your suitabilty to join - and for you to decide whether you do want to join.

NB: The OTC does not recruit or induct at any other time during the year.
