| Airwave |
Airwave is a national mobile radio communications service designed to serve the needs of the Home Office (HO) police forces and other PSO in Scotland, England and Wales. The service is based on the TErrestrial Trunked RAdio (TETRA) standard of Professional Mobile Radio (PMR) developed through the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI).
The Airwave service has been procured as a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) by the HO in order to meet the requirements of the Public Safety Radio Communications Project (PSRCP). The prime contractor is O2 Airwave formerly BT Mobile.

There are 3 REEBOK detachments, manned by members of 2 (NC) Sig Bde’s TA national communications regiments Each detachment consists of 2 vehicles; 1 system control vehicle and 1 staff vehicle capable of providing an initial office environment for 5 staff.
REEBOK is capable of supporting a total of 25 staff (using a building of opportunity). It could also provide a capability for Business Continuity Planning (BCP). | Command Support Team (CST) |

The CST is a static or mobile Communications Centre frame work used to set up a hasty ICS establishment to support Military response to a wide range of contingencies in the UK in peace, tension/crisis and war. It is a high readiness detachment which will be used to provide communications in support of an incident within UK, with a 12hr notice to move capability. Once on site it can be set up within an hour. It offers Staff the opportunity to provide Military support to the Civil Authorities. In addition it also has the ability to provide support to mounting operations and Home Defence. | |
