The Spartan Combat Vehicle Reconnaissance Tracked (CVRT) is the Engineer's recce vehicle.

In other words, it operates in front of the main force to give prior warning of obstacles and looks for routes round or through them.

It has a crew of three, a driver, commander and a signaller - and it's lightly armed too.
