| Church - 150th Anniversary |
| |
At a special service held on 1st August 2004, The Rt Rev David Connor, Bishop to the Forces and The Dean of Windsor, dedicated a new stained glass window in commemoration of the 150 years since the Garrison Church was built to replace the old Barracks Chapel which is now the Auditorium of Command Wing. The window was designed by a local artist, Shelly Kitto and depicts our patron, Saint Barbara, the Crimea Arch, a Spartan on a General Support Bridge and two soldiers in the uniforms of 1854 and 2004. It also depicts the Corps Cipher and the badge of the Royal Engineers Association.
The photographs are published with the kind permission of David Swinbank of Maple Leaf Photography, Wigmore, Kent. |
