AIRBORNE ASSAULT DUXFORD
A New and Unique military attraction bringing to life the history and modern reality of Airborne Forces from the second World War to the Falklands, Kosovo, the Gulf and into the future.

An exciting collaboration between the Airborne Forces Museum and the Imperial War Museum will shortly result in the creation of airborne assault, a new and wholly original attraction to be located at Duxford, Europe's premier aviation museum, which attracts nearly half a million visitors a year.
Airborne Assault Duxford, a pioneering museum project, seeks to communicate the ethos and heritage of The Parachute Regiment and Airborne Forces, securing the future of the Airborne Forces Museum's important historic collection in a new centre which also houses activity areas and provides a symbolic home for the Red Devils.
A planning application for Airborne Assault's bespoke building has recently been submitted. The emphasis of the project has now been shifted to fund raising. With £1.25 million already committed from military sources, a further £3.75 million is being sought from charitable trusts, including the Heritage lottery Fund and Sport England, as well as from companies and private individuals.
