MAMA MIA (PAPA PIA)

 Mama Mia’s is a Stadt run mother and toddler group.  They have a lovely child and parent friendly set up in Gütersloh, a stone’s throw from the market.

 Throughout the week they have varying sessions, some morning and some afternoon.  You can always be sure of a friendly welcome and something to eat and drink, whilst your children play.

 You can join for €30, plus food costs, or pay €1 per session plus food, meet new friends and have fun.

The Guild of St Helena


The Guild is a Tri-Service Registered Charity raising money to support:

  • The Guild of St Helena / SSAFA Special Needs Holidays for Service Children.  Grants for Service Children with Special Needs
  • The Royal Cambridge Home for Soldier's Widows in East Molesey
  • An Annual Prize at the Royal School Hampstead and a Bursary for a Service Child

Founded in 1875, The Guild is a Christian Fellowship for all women connected with the Services.  Its aim is to encourage a Christian way of life and to be aware and concerned for the needs of others.  We put our Christian beliefs to practical use by caring for the elderly, the young and those with special needs in our service community.

The Guild welcomes all wives, widows, daughters and civilians connected with the Services.  The Gütersloh Branch meets every month at either St Albans or St Barbaras.  We would be pleased to see you!

ACCESS TO US ARMY EUROPE INSTALLATIONS

All BFG personnel wishing to access any US Military Installations e.g. holiday centres, hotels, BXs, PXs or any other facilities after 1 September 2003 will be required to register with the US Military Authorities and obtain Installation Access Control System (IACS) Identification.

Gütersloh Garrison has given approval to a local Driving School to provide driving tuition to dependants:

Lessons in English.
Average length of course 12 weeks (3 months).
Theoretical instruction would take up 2 weeks.
Practical and theoretical lessons can run parallel.
Staggered payments possible (tax free).
Average course costs - €1100 including VAT.
Legal requirement is for 3 hours night-driving, 3 hours motorway & 5 hours overland experience.
