NAAFI is not run as a profit-making organisation.  Profits that it does make are returned to the Armed Forces for the welfare of junior ranks and their families.  It is also the main presence in the new Pay As You Dine (PAYD) initiative in BFG.

NAAFI Max is retail's "big" offer in Germany - more of a shopping complex than a store.  Supermarket goods, home wear and other services such as hairdressers and cafes, all come together under one roof.
