The Children Act 2004 requires Local Authorities to review and reconfigure the way in which children's services are delivered at a local level. In common with English legislation, the MOD considers that wherever appropriate and practical, Service families receive support and services that are consistent with that which they would receive whilst in the UK.
The British Forces Youth Service promotes the educational and social welfare of young people. It develops successful personal relationships, social awareness, individual self expression and self-determination, helping young people to develop into responsible members of society.
