Experimental Law Variations (ELVs)
You will be aware that a number of ELVs were trialled in various countries last season, including in the County Championship.
Understandably, there has been some speculation that the ELVs will become ELVs worldwide soon after the World Cup. However, we have been informed by the iRB that any such implementation will not occur until at least June 2008.
Any referee required for a match with players U18 must be CRB checked, and are advised not to accept any U18s match unless they hold a current CRB Disclosure. The list of current CRB approved ARURS members is held by ARURS Secretary, and should be contacted for any applications or renewals.
Experimental Law variations which will be used in this years Super 14 competition are attached for your perusal. These Laws are Experimental only but if proven successful in the Super 14, some or all may be introduced at some point to be determined in the next English Season 2008-2009 - Download (pdf 54kb)
