The Wheeled Tanker Programme consists of a family of Articulated Fuel and Water tanker trucks. All of the types are based on a single 6x6 off-road tractor and three twin axle off-road trailers.

The tractor is a bonneted design with independent suspension and full time all-wheel drive. The trailers a 15,000 litre fuel variant for refuelling aircraft (TAR. The TAR has variants that are winterised and waterproofed.

Tactical Aircraft Refueller (TAR)

The Tactical Aircraft Refueller (TAR) shall consist of the Wheeled Tanker Tractor and the Tactical Aircraft Refueller trailer.

Tactical Aircraft Refueller – Winterised/Waterproofed (TAR w/w)

The Tactical Aircraft Refueller – Winterised/Waterproofed (TAR w/w) shall consist of the Wheeled Tanker Tractor and the Tactical Aircraft Refueller trailer with a factory installed Winterisation/Waterproofing kit installed prior to delivery.

Winterisation/Waterproofing kit

The Winterisation/Waterproofing kit is a factory-installed kit on the winterised/waterproofed variants that includes a fuel-fired heater, which heats the engine coolant, transmission oil pan, and batteries for category C2 climates, and venting to increase the fording level.

Overspeed function with warning and automatic tyre pressure and drive line lock corrections; Run flat function provides continuous air to punctured tyre; Differential lock-up control of Transfer case, inter-axle, and intra-axles locks with automatic override
