WHAT WE DO
We are a multi equipped Artillery Regiment that provides support to the Regular Army.Two Batteries are equipped withMulti Launch Rocket Systems (MLRS), a highly manoeuvrable tracked vehicle capable of launching 12 rockets at a time to a range of 20 miles.A further two Batteries provide the Surveillance and Target Acquisition that delivers real time battlefield intelligence.
We provide a vast array oftechnical opportunities and specialist roles and enable this through progressive training. Every Gunner will be trained as a combat soldier and a career in the Royal Artillery will be full of variety.
WHAT YOU CAN DO
There is a vast range of opportunities available and the Artillery has the latest high-tech computerised electronic equipment which gives you a wide choice of career path.The Gunners also have combat support employments allowing individuals to train as Chefs, Combat Medical Technicians and HR Administrators. You can even join our Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers Detachment and train in an artisan trade such as a vehicle mechanic.
