Officers The Regiment is always looking to recruit high calibre individuals who have the drive and ability to become Officers in the Territorial Army. The demands are great but the rewards are greater. There is no short cut to acommission in the Territorial Army and the training is arduous,culminating in a three week course at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst.
Signallers As a signaller and communications specialistyou will be working with some of the most sophisticated equipment in the British Army. Signallers have many responsibilities and these include transmitting intelligence material on enemy troop movements and controlling the guns when they engage targets.
Gunners The most powerful weapon on the battlefield are the artillery assets. As a gunner you will be part of adedicated team of highly-motived individuals trained to bring these weapons to bear. Your professionalism must be paramount as the front line troops will be relying on your support at a moments notice.
Observers Observers are the eyes of the Battery. They are resourceful -able to think on their feet. You'll find them forward withthe infantry and tanks, directing the artillery fall of shot.Observers are experts in stealth and communications. They are a key asset in intelligence and the passage of information.
Medics Casualties are a fact of operational duties, but the injured soldier knows that help is at hand and he will be cared for - this is the role of the Medics. As a medic you will learn life saving skills and be confident to givefirst aid under the most testing of conditions. If youc an keep a calm head whilst those around you is losing theirs, then being a medic is for you.
Chefs How often have you heard that an Army marches on its stomach?
Well it is true and the Regiment is looking for both qualified chefs and men and woman who wish to train as army chefs.
Drivers The Regiment has many vehicles of various types and we need drivers urgently. If you have a C+E licence and are interested in driving for the army, call us now. Alternatively, if you wish to train as a driver, the army helps you to gain the licences you require to carry out your role.
Logisticians Our stores and equipment are vital to the unit conducting itself effectively and efficiently. In order to manage this, we are looking for logisticians to manage this vital component.
Mechanics
The Regiment has a small REME (Royal Electrical and MechanicalEngineers) section who ensure all our equipment is servicable andkept operational at all times.
