What is Workplace Health Connect?

Workplace Health Connect is a government funded service providing confidential, practical and free advice to small businesses on workplace health and safety, management of sickness absence and return to work issues. By calling our Adviceline we can:

  • Help you understand your health and safety responsibilities
  • Help you ensure your business is a safe place to work
  • Help you to put things right
  • Provide access to quality health and safety advice quickly

Who is it for?

You’ll find Workplace Health Connect helpful if you manage a small business in England or Wales, employ between 5 and 250 workers and do not have access to specialist health and safety advice.

Workers can also call us for confidential, free advice and we can tell you what you and your employer need to do to make your workplace safer and healthier.

Would a visit help?

If you are an employer in Wales or parts of England, we can also arrange an on-site visit by one of our specialist advisers to look at your health and safety problems in depth.

Phone us now to see if we cover your area.

Service status update:

The Workplace Health Connect pilot service is due to finish as planned on 21 February 2008.

Due to the success that the service has had in engaging smaller businesses, it is anticipated that the remaining workplace visits available will be booked up soon. Therefore there is no guarantee that the visit element of the service will be available in the five Pathfinder regions until 21 February 2008 – this will be provided on a first-come first-served basis.

Phone advice will continue to be available until 21 February 2008 via the Adviceline – 0845 609 6006.
