Womankind Worldwide is an international women’s human rights charity working to help women transform their lives in Africa, Asia and Latin America.
Peru is now classified as a middle income country and leads Latin America in terms of growth. However 35% of the population still live below the poverty line, and rural and indigenous women are typically the poorest and most vulnerable.
