Welsh Index of Multiple Deprivation 2005

The revised Welsh Index of Multiple Deprivation 2005 was published on the 22nd November 2005.

The original Welsh Index of Multiple Deprivation 2005 was correct as published. However, it was noted that the Employment domain did not include one indicator that had been recommended by the Advisory Group, namely: claimants of unemployment related benefits. This indicator can be found in the Indexes for England, Scotland and Northern Ireland, so it was agreed that a revision should be made to incorporate this indicator.

The revision affects the Employment domain and the overall Index, but all other domains remain unchanged.
