1000mercis Ltd

French company 1000mercis is celebrating its 10th year in business, having successfully expanded into the UK market, bringing its interactive advertising and marketing solutions to high profile, international customers.

1000mercis (Mille Mercis) started out in Paris in 2000 as a database management company. Its core business was working with clients to help them develop new business prospects using interactive advertising, and build loyalty with existing customers through interactive marketing.

Over the past ten years, 1000mercis’ French operations have grown from seven employees to 150. The company has built a database of 20 million email addresses of people that have signed up to receive promotional emails, which it rents to its clients on a project-by-project basis, qualified to produce a list that suits the target demographic. All the services offered by the company are carried out in-house.

“We help our clients to carry out direct marketing campaigns and promotions, to attract a certain profile of potential customer, which is a very effective approach to marketing and advertising,” says Dorothée Lacroix, Country Manager for 1000mercis UK. “We then recommend setting up an eCRM programme to convert these prospects into customers. We also design and create data-catching campaigns to help our clients build up their own prospect databases. This often takes the form of viral data-catching, whereby participants are encouraged to invite their friends to register.”
