Estonia – 3D Motion Capture System and Articulatory Orofacial Movements Tracking System
Technical criteria for 3D motion capture system:
- Must use active markers.
- Must be a pre-calibrated system (does not require on-site calibration).
- Must have measurement volume up to (LxWxH) 7.0m x 4.2m x 3.0m
- Must have an accuracy of 0.4 mm RMS or better.
- Must have a resolution of 0.01 mm.
- Must have extremely low latency (e.g. under 6 ms for 10 markers).
- Must allow true-synchronous analog and digital capture from 3rd party devices.
- Must have full control over the operating frequency.
- Manufacturer must be ISO 9001:2008 certified.
- Must have free technical support.
- Must include software upgrades.
- Equipment must be calibrated using a method traceable to NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) standards.
- Data produced by the system must be pure data, with no filtering or interpolating
- The system must be fast and flexible to set up, so the setup can be changed as quickly and as often as ncessary.
- Must integrate with the Wave Speech Research System (by Northen Digital Inc.)
Technical criteria for tracking system of speech related articulatory orofacial movements:
- Must use non line-of-sight technology
- Must be a pre-calibrated system (does not require on-site calibration)
- Must have measurement volume up to (LxWxH) 500mm x 500mm x 500mm
- Must have a positional accuracy of 0.6 mm RMS (static) and 1.5 mm RMS (dynamic)
- Must have an angular accuracy of 0.2 degrees RMS (static) and 0.6 degrees RMS (dynamic)
- Must track 16 channels simultaneously
- Must track at 100 Hz
- Manufacturer must be ISO 9001:2008 certified.
- Must have free technical support.
- Must include software upgrades.
- Equipment must be calibrated using a method traceable to NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) standards.
- Must integrate with the 3D Investigator Motion Capture System (by Northen Digital Inc.)
