Estonia – Polymer (Water Processing Chemicals)

A major Estonian water utility is procuring polymer.

Polymer offered by the Tenderer must at least be in compliance with the following parameters. The following results must be achieved at the productivity of 40 m3/h of a centre press CP3074:

1) Dry weight content of dewatered sludge must be at least 28%;

2) Suspended solid content of reject water must be below 200 mg/m3;

3) Polymer must be soluble at the devices and terms used by the Contracting Authority.

Polymer must be packed in bags of 700-900 kg and the estimated volume of one order is 4,000-6,000 kg and the estimated annual need is 50 tons.

NB! For identifying the types of polymer suitable for achieving the parameters named above laboratory trials will be performed before submitting the Tenders in the laboratories of the Contracting Authority. Laboratory trials shall take place during the period of 30 June 2010 - 16 July 2010. The representative of the Tenderer is obliged to participate in the laboratory trials and also deliver necessary amount of polymer by the agreed time of trials. Machine trials shall be performed in the period of 09 August 2010 - 03 September 2010 in order to make sure that polymer is suitable at the devices and terms used by the Contracting Authority and on centre press CP3074 at the terms pointed out above. Tenderer needs to agree on the dates of performing machine trials with the Contracting Authority beforehand.

The Contracting Authority shall not pay for the polymer used at trials.
