MSPO (6-9 September 2010) features not only the latest achievements in military equipment and armaments, but also technologies and systems applied in fields such as logistics, security and rescue. A permanent element of MSPO is an exhibition of the Polish Armed Forces.
Historically, MSPO attracts around 350-defence industry exhibitors from about 25 countries (US, UK, Israel, France, Germany, Russia, Switzerland, as well as other VISEGRAD countries). It attracts around 13,000 visitors every year and all of the major international defence companies exhibit at it.
Profile for exhibit includes Land, Air and Sea Defence Technology Equipment & Weapon System; Missiles, Tank, Guided Weapons; Vehicles, Transport, and Vessels; Satellites, Telecom and Electronic Defense Equipment; Security Systems, Launchers; Fire Control Systems and other related Technology and Systems.
Poland joined NATO on 12 March 1999 and the EU on 1 May 2004. It is one of the larger NATO nations. With a total military budget of USD 14 billion in 2009, Poland is one of the few NATO countries that come close to the NATO target of spending 2% of its GDP on defence.
In 2010 the UK acts as lead nation for MSPO. The UK Trade and Investment team in Warsaw offers assistance package for companies wishing to visit the trade fair. The package includes programme of appointments with potential local partners.
