Sector Qualifications Strategy - Skills for Health

The SQS for Skills for Health has been developed to follow on from the SSA. It has been informed by key policy drivers, further consultation with employers and other key stakeholders.
The future healthcare workforce needs to be equipped with skills and qualifications which respond to changes in the demand and need for health and healthcare services. The strategic drivers and evidence influencing the transformation of the future workforce are fully articulated in SSAs published or under development for each country.
The SQS is derived from and aligned with the strategic direction set by SSAs and the 5 year Skills for Health Strategic Plan. Collectively these strategies are designed to:
Develop a skilled flexible and productive workforce for the whole health sector across the UK, to raise the quality of health and healthcare for the public, patients and service users
