Proskills is an employer led body, representing the views of the five industries within its footprint:

  • Building Products
  • Coatings
  • Extractive and Mineral Processing
  • Glass
  • Print

Proskills works with employers, government, key partners and stakeholders across the UK to identify the skills required by its industries.

The Sector Qualifications Strategy (SQS) follows on from the Sector Skills Agreement (SSA). Building on the work carried out in stages 1-3 of the SSA, it looks to address the sector qualification and learning issues and priorities identified. The SQS is a UK-wide strategic document which will provide a basis for planned, intensive activity by all stakeholders, to reform and rationalise provision.

This strategy is for employers, policy makers, government bodies, regulators, awarding bodies and training providers across the UK. The SQS will lead to the development of industry specific action plans.
