The sector makes a significant contribution to health, education, social inclusion, regeneration, combating crime, personal and social development, neighbourhood renewal, childcare and national prestige.
There is a growing demand from the public and the Government to improve skills and business practice across the sector. Health and safety and care are central to the provision of the industries' services. Best value, customer retention and public confidence are vital to business success.
