Sector in Brief
The financial services sector touches every single person, business and organisation in the UK.
This sector effectively controls the UK economy through its influence over interest rates, the stock exchange and pension funds.
The sector comprises a large number of organisations spread across a range of financial businesses. The range spans from sole trader Independent Financial Advisors to global plc companies.
The Financial Services Skills Council will take over much of the work on skills/training which the Financial Services Authority (FSA) has been leading. In practice this will mean deepening the already good relationship which FSNTO had with FSA.
