Biography
Vicki has worked in the Research and Policy team at the UK Commission for Employment and Skills since its launch in April 2008. She has over 12 years of experience in social research, working on a range of projects examining skills and employment issues. Prior to joining the UK Commission, Vicki was a Senior Research Adviser at the Sector Skills Development Agency (SSDA), from June 2004. She joined the SSDA after six years at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne, where she was a Lecturer in Management in the Business School and before that a Research Associate at the Centre for Urban and Regional Development Studies (CURDS). Vicki has a first Degree in Sociology from the University of Manchester and a PhD from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne.
