Biography
Stephen joined the UK Commission for Employment and Skills in May 2010 as a Policy Analyst. Prior to joining the UK Commission, Stephen worked for the National Audit Office (NAO) conducting value for money studies in their Communities, Regeneration and the Regions team; including assessments of the Regional Development Agencies. He joined the NAO after working as the Policy and Performance Officer for the Derwentside Strategic Partnership where he worked on developing the Partnership’s Sustainable Community Strategy. Prior to this, Stephen worked in financial management in both the public and private sector. Stephen has an MA in Regional Development (Research) from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne, a first Degree in Astrophysics from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne and a Diploma in Social Policy from the Open University. He is a qualified Accounting Technician and a qualified PRINCE2 Practitioner.
