Biography

Joining the UK Commission on 1st April 2008, Richard worked previously for the SSDA for four years as a Senior and Principal Research Adviser. Prior to this he was a Research Fellow at the Sports Industries Research Centre at Sheffield Hallam University, investigating sports management and policy, and the economic impact of sport and leisure. After completing his PhD in 2001 in the organisational behaviour of voluntary sports organisations at the University of Sheffield, Richard lectured at the University of Southampton. His first degree is from Loughborough University.
