2010 review interim update report published
The 2010 Review interim update has been published online and sets out the emerging messages from our work to date. We are seeking to consult with stakeholders across the employment and skills systems to help shape and prioritise our work to the end of this review in early 2011. - 10th Aug 2010
The Youth Inquiry
The UK Commission has been charged by Commissioners to investigate the kind of activities, including improved education / employer engagement that most effectively support young people into employment, particularly those who are likely to be furthest from the labour market. - The UK Commission for Employment and Skills launched its latest publication today, 'Towards Ambition 2020: skills, jobs, growth for Scotland.'

Simplification: Final Assessment
The Simplification Project report “Hiding the Wiring: Final Assessment of Progress on Implementing the Recommendations in Simplification of Skills in England” is now available. The report examines the progress made into the implementation of the recommendations proposed in the UK Commission’s initial report into Simplification published in October 2008. - Four further Sector Skills Councils (SSCs) have been relicensed, Business, Innovation and Skills Secretary Lord Mandelson announced today, on behalf of the UK Government and the Devolved Administrations.

Final Women and Work report
The UK Commission for Employment and Skills has published the final report in the Women and Work Sector Pathways Initiative. The report draws on a review of the literature as well as interviews with twenty one key stakeholders with an interest in the programme. - 26th Nov 2009
