ABOUT FAMILY MEDIATORS ASSOCIATION

The FMA, established in 1988, is a membership organisation for family mediators. We are a lead body and member organisation of the Family Mediation Council (FMC), the umbrella for professional family mediators. (see www.familymediationcouncil.org.uk)

Our members offer:

  • Comprehensive family and hybrid mediation dealing with children, finance, property and pensions, whether arising from divorce, separation, cohabitation, civil partnership or pre- nuptial arrangements;
  • Public Funding (free Legal Aid) where appropriate;
  • Training, Consultancy and Leadership in the development of Family Mediation
  • A uniquely robust and flexible model of Appropriate Dispute Resolution based on an interdisciplinary community of family mediators adhering to the highest professional standards.
