Welcome to TGOnline the Royal Air Force Training Group Defence Agency's
web site. This site aims to introduce the Training Group to a wider audience
and provide useful information on the Agency's role and performance in
today's Royal Air Force.
The Agency is
responsible for the recruitment and selection of all Royal Air Force personnel
and for the policy and delivery of Royal Air Force non-operational training.
The aim of the Agency is to contribute to the operational effectiveness
of the Royal Air Force by the timely provision of military and civilian
personnel trained to standards agreed with customers.
The Agency's portfolio of flying courses provides Elementary, Basic and
Advanced training for Fast Jet, Rotary Wing and Multi-Engine aircraft;
its ground training portfolio is similar to that provided by the further
and higher education sectors. During Financial Year 2000/01 the Agency
recruited 4000 new students and will provide more than 1,600 flying and
30,000 ground training places.
Our principal outputs are:
- Trained military and civilian personnel for established flying and ground
appointments
- Trained military personnel for foreign and Commonwealth armed forces
- Policy development and specialist support for Royal Air Force Training,
Training Development, Education and Physical Education.
