Norah does double duty at SXSW
Ten years ago, a young artist named Norah Jones came to SXSW for the first time to promote her debut album, Come Away With Me. She showcased in a small room above an Indian restaurant. The album succeeded in a way few artists ever experience, with 25 million in sales and 5 Grammies. Norah returned to SXSW this year to promote two projects: an album of country standards with her pals The Little Willies; and to introduce her new solo album.
At La Zona Rosa on the final night of the festival, Norah performed the twelve tracks of Little Broken Hearts in sequence. (Hear the first single "Happy Pills" here.) It's a collaboration with Danger Mouse, slated for a May 1 release.
