The Skills Framework for the Information Age (SFIA), the world's most popular definition of IT skills, has now been updated to reflect the need for sustainability in information technology.

SFIA enables employers of IT professionals to carry out a range of HR activities against a common framework of reference - including skill audit, planning future skill requirements, development programmes, standardisation of job titles and functions, and resource allocation.

The SFIA Foundation coordinates activities to facilitate the availability and implementation of SFIA throughout the UK and beyond.

The SFIA logo is a registered trade mark of The SFIA Foundation.
