Salix delivers interest free funding to accelerate investment in energy efficiency technologies across the UK public sector.

We can enable NHS trusts, universities, local authorities, central government and other public sector bodies to improve energy efficiency, attain emissions targets, reduce energy bills and raise green credentials. We do this by providing loans and ring-fenced conditional grants to make effective, long-lasting carbon saving projects happen in the public sector.

Salix projects are projected to save the UK public sector a lifetime total of £660m in energy bills, reducing CO2 emissions by 4m tonnes.

£9.6m was made available for the recent 100% loan scheme for England and all of this funding has now being allocated.
