You must have a clear sense of your own vocation. There is a strong support structure, but there will be times when you’re far from your colleagues. You must also be physically and medically fit for the task, ready to work in extreme environments – often strenuous, but always rewarding.

Qualifications
You must be a member of the clergy of the Anglican Communion, the Church of Scotland and other Presbyterian Churches, the Roman Catholic Church, the Methodist Church, the Baptist Church, the Congregational Church, Assemblies of God or Elim Pentecostal Church. Prospective Chaplains are normally expected to have completed three years of ministry following ordination or completing full-time ministerial training. The expectation is that you will have degree-level theology, 180 UCAS points and five GCSEs (A* to C)/ Scottish Standard grades or equivalent, which must include English and maths.
