Clearing the way

Path guardians clearingAcross the UK teams of Ramblers volunteers are working hard to make sure your local paths stay clear and accessible.

Our path guardians regularly roll up their sleeves to clear obstacles and overgrown foliage as well as repair and build everything from stiles and steps to kissing gates and signposts.

We have 36 dedicated teams already and by donating to our path guardians appeal you can help us support even more pathwork volunteers.

Or, if you’re interested in becoming a path guardian yourself, get in touch to find out about what’s involved and how we can help you set up a group in your area.

And don’t forget, if you do find your way blocked when you’re next out walking, make sure you tell us about it by reporting a path problem.
