Facing the Challenge

Welcome to "PV-Web", the online information service of PV-UK - the British Photovoltaic Association.

This site is intended to help you keep up to date with the latest developments in photovoltaics - otherwise known as "PV" or "solar electric systems" - and the many applications in the UK for this exciting technology.

Inside, you will find:

  • A complete guide on PV technology and how to go about getting a PV system

  • A fully searchable database of our members to help you locate reputable suppliers and installers of PV systems and components.

  • Details of PV systems that have been installed on buildings throughout the UK, as well as interesting case studies which give more detail on PV in use around the UK.

  • A reference area which answers many of the common queries about buying, connecting and using PV in the UK environment.

  • The membership rules and a Code of Practice. All members who deal with the general public are required to abide by the Code.

We also provide regular news updates, such as reports on new projects, details of new products and latest information on connecting PV systems to the grid, as well as notices of forthcoming events that will be of interest to those wishing to learn more about the technology.
