Soldiers
from the 1st Battalion The Light Infantry came
under fire from heavy machine guns and rocket
propelled grenades during a patrol in the village
of Qalat Salih in Maysan province. The patrol
returned fire, and was successfully extracted
with the aid of a Quick Reaction Force, Seven
personnel were injured but none seriously. |
