It is with deep regret that the Ministry of Defence has to confirm that Fusilier Stephen Jones died in a road traffic accident south of Al Amarah on 10 September 2004. He was serving with A Company of the 1st Battalion, The Royal Welch Fusiliers. A married man, Stephen Jones was aged 22 and came from Denbeigh.
