British Peace Support Team in South Africa (BPST(SA))

The British Peace Support Team in South Africa (BPST(SA)), co-funded by the Republic of South Africa, is composed of eight military personnel based in Pretoria.

Deployments in Africa

BPST(SA) provides a wide range of training activities with the South African National Defence Force as well as advice to the South African Ministry of Defence, for example in the development of concepts and doctrine. Efforts also include support to the South African National War College, the Tactical peace support training centre at Bloemfontein and mission readiness training for peace support operations in the DRC.
