Welcome to the Office of Manpower Economics website. OME provides support for the independent Pay Review Bodies, School Support Staff Negotiating Body and Police Boards. The six Pay Review Bodies, School Support Staff Negotiating Body and two Police Boards cover groups with an estimated aggregate pay bill of around £102 billion.
The OME is non-departmental public body, staffed by civil servants. It provides an independent Secretariat to the Review Bodies, free from Government direction as to the advice and support we offer. Our aim is to provide high quality analytical, administrative and technical support. As part of that we aim to develop and maintain good quality relationships with a wide range of Government Departments and Executive Agencies as well as Staff Associations, Trade Unions and other organisations.
This website is designed to provide a window on our activities and access to the wide range of reports produced by the Review Bodies and Police Boards.
